Sarah Brabeck is the Events Specialist in the Office for Religious Life (ORL). She organizes and supports various programs hosted by the ORL, including student-led multifaith events, wellness-oriented programs, Memorial Church services, concerts, lectures from both the Stanford and public community, and general University-related events.
Prior to the ORL, Sarah worked in student services where she advised students on degree progress and identifying campus resources that enrich their Stanford experience. As Events Specialist, she leverages this enthusiasm to support the diverse student groups associated with the ORL, while organizing multiple year-round events that further strengthen Stanford's connection to the broader community.
Sarah holds a B.A. in International Political Economy from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. She has been working within the non-profit sector for several years bringing with her experience in event management, fundraising, communications, and community outreach. A former Peace Corps Volunteer in west Africa, Sarah finds meaning when she is in the role of service to others and engaging with empathetic perspectives that she believes is foundational to authentic connection and progress. She enjoys outdoor adventures, learning about differing cultures and language, listening to jazz, folk, and blues, a strong mid-day coffee, and endeavors to be on the side that helps “bridge the gap” where differences exist.
