Director of Events and Rathbun Program Manager

Diane joined the Office for Religious Life (ORL) team in 2009 as Program Coordinator before her promotion to Rathbun Program Manager in 2014. As Rathbun Program Manager, she plans and executes all aspects of events, such as lectures, conferences, alumni events, and other university-related events, including the Rathbun Visiting Fellow Program. She works with her colleagues on short and long range strategic planning for ORL program development.  She also oversees the development of the ORL, Rathbun Program and Windhover websites. In 2018, Director of Events was added to her title, as the oversight of the day-to-day functions of the office and the operational staff was added to her remit.

A Bay Area native, Diane grew up in Hayward and Vallejo, California. She went on to complete a B.A. in Communication Design with the Option in Media Arts from California State University, Chico in 2001. After college, she gained experience in advertising and marketing at the Chico Enterprise-Record newspaper. She then became the Office Manager of CSU, Chico's Educational Talent Search, a federally funded TRiO program designed to empower low-income and first-generation students to pursue higher education.

Dedicated to increasing multicultural awareness and understanding, she is an active alumna of Delta Xi Phi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. She has served in various leadership positions on Delta Xi Phi's National Board of Directors, including National Expansion Chair and National President.
